RHS FOUNDATION NAMES THE 2026 FUTURE FIRST CITIZEN FINALISTS
The FCC award recognizes five top RHS seniors as future leaders, volunteers, supporters, and role models who will make a difference in their community.
Juniper Crocker, Elizabeth Kwok, Emma Rethwill, Taylor Sands, and Ryne Wilson have been named as the Future First Citizen finalists for 2026. These outstanding students will share $26,000 in scholarship money, with the winner earning $10,000 toward tuition at the college of their choice. The remaining four finalists will each receive $4,000 scholarships.
The students will be interviewed by a panel that includes sponsors, representatives of the Roseburg High School Foundation, and local business leaders. The winner will be announced at the Annual Roseburg High School Foundation Scholarship Night set for 5:30 PM, Thursday, March 12th, at the Rose Theater at RHS. Admission is free.
Future First Citizen Award
The Future First Citizen recognition and scholarship award was initiated for Roseburg High School Seniors in 1996. It was originally designed and financially supported by a combination of local business and individuals, many of whom are supporting the return of the award with a three-year commitment.
The Roseburg High School Foundation Board assumed oversight of this valued recognition in 2020 and announced the return of the Future First Citizen Scholarship award after a one-year hiatus. The Foundation also oversees the distribution of 14 scholarships including the Beal Family, Gregory Family, Ross Hansen, Forever Indian, State Farm, and the Class of ‘65 scholarships as well as grants to programs and classrooms at Roseburg High.
